Programme: Day 3 Doc Media Month

untitled

Thursday 3rd

Are you a Journalist? Have you been for over 1 year? Did you work as a Journalist previously?

Then we need your help!

I’ve completed this Journalism survey for a colleague at the University of Leicester and request you complete it also.

We don’t often get a chance to shape the future.

The link to his survey is: https://leicester.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/uk-journalism-survey

In the research task I took the role of the ‘International’ desk and selected the top 2 stories I felt should be used and gave my reasons. A very interesting exercise. It reminded me of my own 10 ‘biggest stories’ / 5 most important’ / most ‘important to you’ activity that I’ve done many times with Uni of Leicester, DMU and Crown Hills Community College students.

Doc Media exhibition – includes 7th Leicester Docfilm Festival documentary film showcase.

Can documentary film really bring about change? We look at documentary films screened during Leicester’s 7 DocFilm Festivals and consider whether any really did influence people to change an opinion or take action.
